Children are so trusting. For example, every morning I check on my son in his crib. He stretches and yawns, smiles up at me sweetly, and holds up his arms for me to pick him up. So trusting, knowing I will be there to lift him out of his crib every single morning.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had someone to pick us up in the morning and start us on our day feeling safe and loved? Someone who could lift us up any time we need a little encouragement?
Well, we do! God picks us up every morning — we just need to trust Him enough to lift our arms to Him. We need to trust in His plan for us and follow His guidance. We need to trust He will ALWAYS be there.
Because He IS always there. The great I AM is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He loves us, and He wants us to open our arms to Him with the innocent trust of a child.
…‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. – Mark 10:14-16
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28
